Goal
Understand how to mount the Intelligent Edge Kilo safely and securely on a DIN rail.
DIN Rail Support
The Kilo unit can be used as-is by placing it on a flat surface or by fixing it in place with double-sided tape or similar.
In addition, the Intelligent Edge Kilo (Kilo) supports this DIN rail attachment.
This means that by mounting it on a DIN rail, you can also install multiple units side by side, such as in a distribution board.
Even when used in combination with a PLC, the DIN rail attachment lets you install the unit neatly.
How to Mount
Mounting
First hook the top of the attachment onto the DIN rail, then push the bottom into place to mount it.
If it feels stiff, gently pull the release tab at the bottom while mounting.
👉 Pulling the tab too hard may cause damage. Moving it gently is enough.
Removal
To remove the unit, likewise pull the tab at the bottom while detaching it from the rail.
Pulling the tab with one hand while supporting the unit with the other makes removal smooth.
