You can invite users to an account with permissions such as owner or guest, enabling team-based management of devices and sites as well as service provision to customers.
The number of users you can invite and the available permissions vary depending on your plan. Please check the details of your contracted plan.
Invitation Methods
There are two ways to invite users.
- Send an invitation URL and have the recipient log in
- Have the recipient tell you their obniz Now user ID and add them
Inviting via an Invitation URL
Open "Invite New User" from Team Members.

From here, you create an invitation URL.
By entering an email address, you can also have obniz Now automatically send an invitation email.
For a guest invitation, select
- Group: a specific group
- Permission: Guest
and then send the invitation.
You can set an expiration date for the URL.
About the Approval Process
Simply opening the URL and logging in does not grant access to the account. However, by turning "Auto-approve" ON, the recipient can join just by opening the URL and logging in.
When it is OFF, the recipient enters a waiting list after logging in.
The recipient can access the account only after the owner "approves" them from the waiting list.
For the Person Who Received the Invitation
The person who received the invitation can accept it by opening the URL and logging in to obniz Now.
If auto-approve is ON, they can view the account right away.
If auto-approve is not enabled, they must wait until the person who issued the invitation URL approves them.
About Re-invitations
If you want to send an invitation again because the recipient could not receive the email or for another reason, you can invite them by entering the same details. In that case, a URL different from the one issued the first time will be sent.
Inviting by Specifying a User ID
If the recipient already uses obniz Now and you know their ID, you can also add them directly.
From the same Invite New User screen for team members, select "Specify User ID," then specify the recipient's user ID along with a group and permission to add them directly.
Even after the addition is complete, no automatic notification is sent to the recipient.
