This is a collection of terms related to obniz Now.
Account
The unit of an application that uses obniz Now. There is one per project or solution. You register devices, terminals, and users to an Account opened in obniz Now.
User
You can register multiple users to an Account. Each user can handle data according to the permissions assigned to them.
Member
This can refer to a user, or to the permission—among those granted to a user—that allows viewing and operating the information of the group the user belongs to.
Team member
The same as a user.
Owner
The permission, among those granted to a user, that allows operating all information.
Guest
The permission, among those granted to a user, that allows only viewing the information of the group the user belongs to.
User account
The registration information of a user. This is different from an Account.
Sidebar
The panel displayed on the left side of the screen.
Device
A device, apparatus, or piece of equipment managed by obniz Now. For example, a refrigerator.
Machine
The same as a Device.
obniz device
A terminal or gateway running obniz OS. Examples include Intelligent Edge Kilo, Intelligent Edge Micro, and obniz BLE/Wi-Fi Gateway Gen2.0.
obniz OS
The shared OS installed on obniz devices.
Device
The smallest unit of an apparatus or piece of equipment managed by obniz Now. For example, a single sensor or gateway, or an apparatus fitted with one.
Automation
A definition of automatic behavior based on device data.
Intelligence
A script that automatically processes device data, and the functionality it provides.
Integration
Using device data externally.
Inbound Source
Referencing data from external equipment.
State
Data representing the state of a device.
